Utah's New Parental Choice Voucher Program
Low-Income Guidelines
If you do not meet any of the first 3 requirements listed in the column to the right, your child may still qualify for a voucher if you meet the low-income guidelines explained below.
Directions for Using the Low-Income Guidelines:
- Determine your household size: For most people, household size consists of the number of people living in your home, including yourself. Special situations may apply to certain households.
- Determine your household income: In most cases, household income is the total adjusted gross income reported by your household on your 2006 federal or state income tax return(s). If you or your spouse were exempt from filing federal and state income tax, your income is based on the income your household earned from work in 2006.
- Find your household size in the first column of the table below (Table 1).
- If your household income is NO GREATER than the dollar amount on the same row as your household size, then each of your children qualify to receive a voucher.
