Utah's New Parental Choice Voucher Program
Voucher Amounts
The voucher amounts range from $500 to $3,000 and are determined by your household size and household income. Voucher amounts will not exceed tuition costs and are paid directly to the eligible K-12 private school of your choice.
The following tables show what size voucher each of your children qualify for based on your household size and income. (Remember, to even qualify for a voucher you must meet at least one of the four eligibility requirements listed in the column to the right).
Directions for Using the Voucher Amount Tables:
- Determine your household size: For most people, household size consists of the number of people living in your home, including yourself. Special situations may apply to certain households.
- Determine your household income: In most cases, household income is the total adjusted gross income reported by your household on your 2006 federal or state income tax return(s). If you or your spouse were exempt from filing federal and state income tax, your income is based on the income your household earned from work in 2006.
- Find the table with your household size.
- Find your household income in the 1st column of the table with your household amount.
- Your maximum per child voucher amount is on that same row, 2nd column.

| Eligibility Requirements |
Does my child qualify to recieve a voucher?
In order for your child
to qualify to receive a voucher, you must meet at least ONE
of the following four requirements: |

Your child was enrolled as a full-time student in a Utah public school (including charter schools) on January 1, 2007. |
|
Your child was born after September 1, 2001. |
|
Your child was not a Utah resident on January 1, 2007. |
|
Your household income meets the low-income guidelines explained to
the left.
